New Official Name Announced
New York, NY June 08, 2017
The Executive Board of the WPC Foundation is pleased to announce the official name to replace the working title for the 'International Center for Peace and Security'. The official name of the planned new global institution is the 'United Institutions'. The name has been selected to reflect the mandate, scope, objectives, functions and constituents of the new global forum. The new official name will also be reflected in the name of the foundation which will be renamed to the "United Institutions Foundation'. The acronyms for the new institution and the foundation will be UI and UIF, respectively.
The announcement of the official name comes ahead of the release of the draft Global Strategic Framework of the new institution to be released in mid-2017.
The new names of the institution and the foundation will be in effect starting June 8, 2017.
The new official domain name for the institution will be www.unitedinstitutions.org. The previous domain name www.icpsglobalforum.org will redirect visitors to www.unitedinstituions.org. In the months ahead the UIF will be rolling out new changes and information on the new UI development website.

The United Institutions Foundation's phone numbers remain the same as before the name changes.
Email addresses for the United Institutions Foundation's executive board and staff will be transitioned from icpsglobalforum.org to unitedinstitions.org in the months ahead. The board and staff will be reachable at both for the remainder of 2017.
The official United Institutions Twitter account will be United Institutions@UI_Foundation. The new United Institutions Facebook, Google+ and YouTube Accounts will be transitioned in the weeks ahead.
